Your images

All image processing on PixSqueeze — compression, conversion, resizing and cropping — happens locally in your web browser. Your files are never uploaded to, stored on, or processed by our servers or any third party's servers. When you close the page, no copy of your image exists anywhere except your own device. We cannot see, access or recover any file you process with these tools.

Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics to understand aggregate site usage: which pages are visited, which tools are used, and coarse non-identifying technical data (browser family, country, referrer). Plausible is a privacy-focused service that does not use cookies and does not collect or store personal data or IP addresses in an identifiable form. We also record anonymous tool events (for example, "a compression was run and saved 80%") — these contain no file names, file contents or personal information.

We additionally use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for richer audience data: rough geography, device class, page paths and the same anonymous tool events. GA4 runs in Consent Mode v2. By default, analytics_storage is granted — so GA4 collects anonymous, aggregated usage analytics from every visitor under India's DPDPA "deemed consent for legitimate business purposes" provision. All advertising-cookie categories (ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) default to denied: those are only enabled if you click Accept on the consent banner. IP addresses are anonymised before processing. You can change your decision at any time by clearing site data for pixsqueeze.in in your browser — the banner will reappear on your next visit.

Advertising

This site is supported by display advertising. Ad networks may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including, where you have consented, personalised ads. These cookies are set and controlled by the advertising provider, not by us. You can opt out of personalised advertising through the ad provider's settings (for Google, via Google Ads Settings) or by using your browser's cookie controls. Where required by law, you will be shown a consent prompt before any advertising cookies are set.

Cookies

The tools themselves set no cookies. Tool preferences (such as a quality setting) may be kept in your browser's local storage on your device only. Advertising cookies, when present, are described in the section above.

Data we collect directly

None, unless you email us — in which case we receive what you send and use it only to reply. We have no accounts, no user database and no mailing list.

Children

The site is a general-audience utility and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated date. Material changes will be noted prominently.
